Amber Rahman
Princeton University, Class of 2024
Amber is a first-year at Princeton. She hopes to major in the School of Public and International Affairs, Near Eastern Studies, or African American Studies. Dedicated to transnational justice for all, Amber is committed to organizing and centering the experiences of those who are marginalized within the U.S. and abroad. In high school, she was very involved in organizing efforts for religious inclusivity and support for students of color. She became very passionate about supporting women of color who have been impacted by incarceration through her work with a local support group. As she was jolted awake to the realities of injustice that are pushed to the corners of the American psyche, she began to seek out the texts of revolutionary writers of color to try understand the world around her. Her most recent project has been founding the RPRSNTD. Book Club (rprsntd.com), a digital platform connecting its virtual book clubs centering voices of the silenced with high school communities across the U.S.
Amber is excited to help conduct research for Policy Punchline and expand her perspectives on how policy can be a tool for racial justice. She looks forward to centering the experiences of the marginalized in her research on every policy area. In her free time, Amber enjoys playing badminton, reading with a pen in hand, organizing book clubs, and discussing political issues with friends.
